Primary Processor Residues

  1. Total residues from primary processors-1,894 thousand green tons (slabs, sawdust, & bark).
  2. 32% of residue is used to produce charcoal
  3. 58% used to produce livestock bedding, mulch, and fuel
  4. 10%-Unused residues

Timber Harvesting Residues

  1. 25-45% of the tree’s biomass is left on site as residues
  2. Statewide harvest residues-86,586 thousand cubic feet equating to estimated 510 MMBF
